Kitchen and bathroom fitting in Harlow
Harlow has more compact kitchens per street than anywhere else we work, so the biggest wins here come from layout planning rather than expensive doors.
A lot of the town's post war housing was built with a narrow galley kitchen and a separate dining room next door. Taking out the dividing wall, or just widening the opening, often does more for daily life than doubling the budget on units. We price both options so you can see the difference before deciding.
Church Langley and Newhall are a different story. Those kitchens are newer and square, and the usual brief is upgrading a builder specification: better carcasses, a proper worktop, integrated appliances and a tiled or LVT floor that runs through to the hall.
Landlord and between tenancy work is steady here too. We can turn a tired bathroom and a full redecoration around inside two weeks when a property needs to be back on the market quickly.

Opening up a Potter Street galley kitchen
The owners had a two metre wide kitchen with a doorway into the dining room. We removed the non structural section of the wall, installed a lintel over the remaining opening, and ran a peninsula with a breakfast overhang into the freed up space.
Nine working days in total, and the finished room gave them 2.4 metres more worktop without extending the house.

Questions from Harlow clients
- Can you remove the wall between my kitchen and dining room?
- In most Harlow houses of that era, yes. We arrange a structural engineer's calculation where the wall is load bearing and handle the building control notification as part of the job.
- How much does a small galley kitchen cost in Harlow?
- Most land between £5,500 and £9,500 fitted, including the strip out, electrics, plumbing, worktop and flooring. Appliances are priced separately so you stay in control of that spend.
- How fast can you turn a rental property around?
- A bathroom plus full redecoration usually takes about two weeks. Tell us your tenancy date at survey and we will confirm honestly whether we can meet it.
- Do you cover Old Harlow as well as the newer estates?
- Yes, the whole CM17 to CM20 area, including Old Harlow, Potter Street, Church Langley, Newhall and Katherines.
