Kitchen and bathroom renovations in Epping
Most Epping clients stay in the house while we work, so how we control dust and noise matters as much as the finished room.
We seal off the work area with zip doors, run extraction at the cutting point rather than sweeping up afterwards, and keep one route through the house clear and protected. Cutting is done outside where the weather allows.
Epping property runs from low ceilinged cottages in the older lanes to substantial family homes towards Theydon Bois. The cottages need careful setting out because almost nothing is square. The larger houses are usually about scale: long runs of units where a millimetre of drift shows across four metres.
We also agree working hours up front. On streets with young children or people working from home, an eight o'clock start makes a real difference.
Living in through a Theydon Bois kitchen
A family of five stayed in the house for the whole project. We set up a temporary kitchen in the utility on day one, sealed the hallway with a zip door and worked 8am to 4pm so the house was quiet by teatime.
Thirteen working days, including a new porcelain floor that ran into the hall, and no day passed without the kitchen area being swept and sheeted before we left.

Questions from Epping clients
- Can we stay in the house during the work?
- Almost always. We set up a temporary kitchen point, seal the work area with zip doors and use extraction at source so the rest of the house stays usable.
- What hours do you work?
- Normally 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday. We agree the hours with you before starting, and we can shift them if you have young children or work from home.
- How do you keep long runs of units aligned?
- We set a laser datum for the whole room rather than levelling unit to unit, which stops small errors accumulating across a four or five metre run.
- Do you cover Theydon Bois and Coopersale?
- Yes, both, along with North Weald and the villages around CM16.
